London Philharmonic Orchestra to Perform ‘God Save the Queen’ at the NBA London Game 2018 presented by Nike

The London Philharmonic Orchestra is set to perform ‘God Save the Queen’ prior to tip-off as part of The NBA London Game 2018 presented by Nike it was announced today. The NBA’s eighth regular-season game in London sees the Philadelphia 76ers play the Boston Celtics in a sold-out contest at The O2 in London on Jan. 11.

Comprising of 16 musicians, it will mark the first time the world-renowned Orchestra has performed at a basketball game and the first time playing at The O2. However, the London Philharmonic Orchestra are no stranger to sporting events, having recorded all the national anthems for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
