Joyce DiDonato was awarded an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Opera for her performance in Semiramide at the Royal Opera House alongside mezzo-soprano Daniela Barcellona. The production of Semiramide, directed by David Alden, won the Olivier Award for Best New Opera Production following its succesful run of performances last year.
