The São Paulo Symphony Orchestra’s BBC Prom on 15 August is selling out fast since tickets went on sale over the weekend.
The Orchestra will be the first Brazilian orchestra ever to perform at the Proms and it also marks the orchestra's first trip to Europe under the baton of its recently-appointed Chief Conductor Marin Alsop.
The Orchestra will perform works from both American hemispheres, with highlights including works by Dvořák, Copland and Ginastera.
Marin Alsop took up the post of Chief Conductor of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra in 2012.
