Albion Media worked on pan-European PR for the International Tchaikovsky Competition 2011 and the ensuing European tour of the winners with Maestro Valery Gergiev.

Under the chairmanship of Gergiev, the International Tchaikovsky Competition introduced a new set of rules and regulations with completely revised procedures for voting.

Honorary Chairmen in 2011 were the late Van Cliburn for the Piano Competition and Placido Domingo for the Vocal Competition. Among the jury members joining them were: Vladimir Ashkenazy, Yefim Bronfman, Nelson Freire, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Leonidas Kavakos, Maxim Vengerov, Nikolaj Znaider, Teresa Berganza, Ileana Cotrubas, Elena Obraztsova, Renata Scotto and Ferruccio Furlanetto.

The International Tchaikovsky Competition 2011 took place in Moscow and St Petersburg, June 14 - July 2.
