Baldur Brönnimann

Baldur Brönnimann regularly conducts major orchestras and new music ensembles around the world and from February 2012 he will be conducting John Adams’ “The Death of Klinghoffer,” ENO’s major new production based on the hijacking of the Italian cruise ship ‘Achille Lauro’ in 1985. In December 2010 Brönnimann caught headlines across the world when he travelled to the Middle East to conduct the newly-formed Palestine National Orchestra in Ramallah, Jerusalem and Haifa. Known for his eagerness to push artistic boundaries and to embrace projects beyond the traditional concert, Brönnimann is Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, as well as Artistic Director of Norway’s BIT20 Ensemble.

Albion Media worked with Brönnimann in the UK around his conducting of “The Death of Klinghoffer”.
