One of the great orchestras of the world, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande was founded in 1918 by Ernest Ansermet, who remained in charge until 1967. In 2004 Marek Janowski joined the orchestra first as Artistic Director and then, a year later, also as Musical Director.
Janowski brought the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande to the UK for the first time under his charge for a tour of the nation’s finest concert venues: The Sage at Gateshead, Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Symphony Hall in Birmingham and the Barbican in London.
Albion Media did PR and Marketing for the UK tour by the orchestra under Marek Janowski.
