The Department for Children, Schools and Families' Music and Dance Scheme currently enables around 2,000 exceptionally talented children to have access to the best specialist music and dance training available alongside a good academic education.
Albion Media worked on the PR for the scheme’s three-day celebration at the Southbank Centre and managed to get representatives of the scheme interviewed on BBC Breakfast News, as well as devising and implementing an extensive online marketing campaign to raise the scheme’s profile through coverage on appropriate websites and social networking sites. To do this Albion created and built online social media sites and created a presence on blogs and forums in order to ensure that supporters became digital ambassadors for the scheme. Among the many sites and blogs where content was placed are: Classicalsource.com; 4dancers.org; 4 dancers; Classical Net; Dance bloggers; Dance UK; Hampshire Dance; Jayesdance.blogspot.com; MUSO; The Ballet Bag; The Nibble Thread; www.uktw.co.uk and What’s on Stage.
Albion Media also posted information about the SBC event on: BachTrack.com; Culture Vulture; Eventful; London SE1; London Dance; oClassical; Spoonfed; The List; The Evening Standard; View London; Visit London and Zvents.
