Mahan Esfahani

Praised by The Times as ‘exceptionally gifted’ and by Early Music Today for his ‘sensitivity and vibrance,’ the Iranian-born Mahan Esfahani (b. 1984) is quickly establishing himself as the leading concert harpsichordist of his generation. He was the first harpsichordist to be named a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist and to be awarded a fellowship prize by the Borletti-Buitoni Trust.

Last season, he gave his solo debut at the Wigmore Hall (broadcast on BBC Radio 3) – about which the Daily Telegraph exclaimed ”the harpsichord comes out of hiding… magnificent” – and in May 2011 he will return to the Wigmore Hall to accompany countertenor James Bowman for his farewell recital.

Albion Media is employed by Mahan Esfahani to handle the marketing and PR for James and Mahan’s concert at the Wigmore Hall on 21st May 2011.
