“Not a hair of a note was out of place; this was the performance of a world class orchestra.” The Times
Celebrating over 120 years of music-making of the highest order, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is a unique organisation. The only professional UK symphony orchestra not based in a major city, the BSO defines what it means to be an orchestra serving a whole region whilst maintaining important national and international significance.
The outstanding artistic leadership of Kirill Karabits was recognised with the Conductor prize at the 2013 Royal Philharmonic Society awards. The citation praised the Orchestra’s exceptional performance standards, both at their home venue the Lighthouse in Poole and at venues throughout the South and South West, not least as the major provider of symphonic scale concerts in Bournemouth and to the cities of Bristol, Exeter and Portsmouth.
Albion Media has worked successfully with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra on its national media relations since 2005. From communications planning to creating press releases about major corporate developments, and from consultancy to securing national previews, features and reviews for its concerts and recordings, Albion Media has been responsible for significantly raising the Orchestra’s profile.
